This basic class is the first step in becoming avalanche aware in the mountains. This 1 hour live online presentation is the perfect way to get introduced to avalanche education before continuing with more specific, advanced training. This intro course covers: Avalanche statistics, recognizing avalanche terrain, assessing the mountain snowpack, decision making in avalanche terrain, and companion rescue.

This will be a live interactive class with an avalanche rescue gear demonstration and Q&A. No registration is necessary and the class is free and open to all.
